IPO Allotment Status

Check IPO allotment on the registrar's website (KFin Technologies or Link Intime / MUFG Intime) or on the BSE 'Status of Issue Application' page using your PAN, application number, or DP/Client ID after the allotment date.

The basis of allotment is usually finalised 1–2 working days after an IPO closes. Shares are credited to the demat account a day before listing, and blocked ASBA/UPI funds are released for non-allottees.

You need your PAN, the IPO application number, or your DP/Client ID (demat account number). Any one of these, along with selecting the IPO name, is enough on the registrar or exchange portal.

When an IPO's retail category is oversubscribed, SEBI rules require allotment by lottery at the minimum-lot level — so everyone has an equal chance of one lot, regardless of how many lots they applied for. If the category is heavily oversubscribed, many applicants get nothing. It is not a rejection of your application.

Apply with multiple genuine demat accounts (each on a different PAN — one PAN allows one application), bid one lot per application in oversubscribed IPOs (extra lots rarely help), apply at the cut-off price, approve your UPI mandate before the deadline, and double-check PAN, DP ID and bank details to avoid technical rejection.

For non-allottees, the ASBA/UPI block on your bank account is released around the allotment finalisation date — typically 1–2 working days after the IPO closes, before listing day.
